Ezra has been practising Reflexology for 2 years, although he has been interested in alternative therapies and natural healing since before studying and practicing Reiki in 2001. Before that, he worked for many years as an illustrative designer and artist, having many high-profile clients.
Although achieving a degree of success in that field, he always felt that in terms of his talents, there was something missing. It wasn’t until reading an article on the hemispheres of the brain (the left hemisphere being for logical thinking, calculations and controlling the right side of the body, with the right hemisphere being for intuition, creativity, spirituality and controlling the left side of the body) that he realised that perhaps there was another dimension to his creativity and intuition. This curiosity for self-exploration led to him studying and practicing Reiki, whilst nurturing a fledgling interest in Reflexology, which he eventually studied at Morley College in South London, under the Renée Tanner system.
Since then, he has sought to expand his knowledge on the subject whilst treating various clients as well as other healthcare professionals.
At Union Therapies on Tuesday and Friday afternoons or on an ad-hoc basis

Liz started practicing yoga when she suffered from lower back pain 19 years ago and has never had problems with her back since. She stuck with yoga as a regular form of exercise, not because she's particularly fit, flexible, sporty or interested in maintaining a particular body shape, but because it has always improved her mood.
After time on the yoga mat she always feels better, more relaxed and at ease than at the start of a session. This is why she finally took the step of training to be a yoga teacher. Please come and join Liz if you would like to pause for breath in your busy life and would like to increase your flexibility and iron out any specific niggles you may have. Ability to bend into pretzel shapes and touch your toes are not a requirement. They are suitable for any age and ability
Small group Healing Yoga Mondays 7.00pm-8.00pm

Marion's interest in acupuncture arose out of her study of shiatsu massage when she was introduced to the concepts of Chinese Medicine. Once she'd finished her Shiatsu training she embarked on a full time 3 year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Westminster University graduating in 2003 with a BSc Hons. From London she travelled to a teaching hospital in Chengdu in China to observe and study acupuncture and Tuina. This experience gave her insight into how acupuncture can be used
alongside conventional medicine.
On her return from China she worked at the NHS Gateway Clinic in South London, a multi-bed clinic treating a whole spectrum of conditions. She continued working there for 10 years loving the variety and invaluable experience it gave her. Whilst she was at the Gateway she also worked for 7 years as the acupuncturist at the Crossing in East Finchley to support people through their recovery from substance abuse and misuse.
From her experience Marion is interested in all pain issues including musculoskeletal conditions, autoimmune diseases, menstrual pain, headaches and migraine, and anxiety disorders. Currently Marion is studying Postural Integration with Silke Ziehl at the open Centre in Old Street.
